Abstract:

This dataset provides a compilation of speciated non-methane volatile organic compound (NMVOC) emissions, prioritising European-specific data consistent with present-day technologies, fuels, and regulations. It covers all anthropogenic emission sources reported by European countries. The current database version includes 130 speciation profiles and over 900 individual NMVOC species, compiled and standardised from literature. Files are provided in Excel and CSV formats with accompanying metadata describing variables, units, and sources. To facilitate integration with emission inventories, the speciation profiles are mapped to the Selected Nomenclature for Air Pollution (SNAP) and Nomenclature for Reporting (NFR) sectors. Each profile provides species-level weight fractions and aggregation into the 25 Global Emissions Inventory Activity (GEIA) groups, and a ready-to-use file compatible with the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service European regional inventory version 8.1 (CAMS-REGv8.1) is included.
