We develop agent-based social simulations to understand how complex systems of political communication evolve at scale, revealing patterns of opinion dynamics, polarization and collective behavior. At the individual level, we use methods from natural language processing in AI psychometrics to study value systems and other psychological traits that shape agent behavior.
